Discover the Health Benefits of Max Fit
Maintaining a healthy weight is contingent upon regular exercise,
good nutrition and optimal nutrient intake. Several nutrients play a
critical role in energy production including glutamine, creatine and
carnitine. Ensuring optimal levels of these naturally occurring
substances is essential for healthy weight management, improved
endurance and exercise recovery. Stress also plays a critical role in
weight management. Ongoing and sustained stress leads to higher
circulating levels of cortisol.
This can cause a number of negative side effects associated with
stress: weight gain, blood sugar imbalance, fatigue, sleep disturbance,
loss of muscle, increased blood pressure, increased abdominal fat and
more. The negative systemic effects of stress can be mitigated with
herbal support and supplementation leading to improved glucose
management, healthy weight and cortisol regulation.

Scientific Support
Stress plays a critical role in weight gain. Mitigating the effects
of stress, balancing blood sugar and reducing cortisol levels are
important steps in a healthy exercise and weight loss plan.
Supplementing a healthy exercise plan with amino acids like carnitine
and creatine has been shown to improve recovery from exercise and
increase energy. In elderly patients, research suggests that short-term
high-dose creatine supplementation offers multiple benefits including
increased muscle mass, fatigue resistance, improved strength and
performance of activities of daily living.
- Acute stress increases heart rate and arterial blood pressure,
stimulates gluconeogenesis, glycogenolysis, lipolysis and hepatic
glucose secretion. These in turn elevate the catecholamines and cortisol
levels in the body. Research has shown that serum cortisol is an
indicator of stress and supplementation with a high-concentration
full-spectrum Ashwagandha root extract reduces cortisol levels that have
been elevated by stressful conditions.
- One study found that muscle carnitine content can be increased in
humans by dietary means and that carnitine plays a dual role in skeletal
muscle fuel metabolism that is exercise intensity dependent. This study
specifically shows that increasing muscle carnitine content spares
muscle glycogen during low intensity exercise which is consistent with
an increase in muscle fat utilization. The results indicate that
supplementing with carnitine during high intensity exercise results in a
reduced perception of effort and increased work output. These findings
have significant implications for athletic performance and
pathophysiological conditions where fat oxidation is impaired or
anaerobic ATP production is increased during exercises.
- Research suggests that short-term, high-dose creatine
supplementation in elderly patients (independent of exercise training)
increases body mass, enhances fatigue resistance, increases muscle
strength and improves the performance of activities of daily living.
Similarly, in older adults concurrent creatine supplementation and
resistance training increases lean body mass, enhances fatigue
resistance, increases muscle strength and improves performance of daily
living activities to a greater extent than resistance training alone.
Additionally, creatine supplementation plus resistance training results
in a greater increase.
- In bone mineral density than resistance training alone. Higher brain
creatine is associated with improved neuropsychological performance and
improved cognitive processing.
- Chlorogenic acid (the compound found in Decaffeinated Green Coffee
Bean extract) was found to reduce early glucose and insulin responses
during an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT). Previous research has
shown the benefits of caffeinated or decaffeinated coffee consumption
and lower risk of type 2 diabetes.
- L-carnitine is an essential nutrient that the body uses to convert
fat into energy through the biochemical process beta oxidation. It is
also an antioxidant that reduces metabolic stress in cells.
